IMM ALUMNI MEET 2009

Alumni Meet 2009 was held at IMM Campus on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 6.30 PM.

IMM Alumni Website was launched on this occasion. The meeting ended with dinner, while Alumni dance to the tune of DJ and enjoyed the meet.

292ND TOP MANAGEMENT CLUB MEETING

The 292nd Top Management Club Meeting was held at IMM Convention Centre on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 7 P.M. The meeting was addressed by H.E. Mr. Roberto Tascano, Ambassador of Italy to India on "Public& Private in the Global Economy: A Diplomat's View". His Excellency, who entered in Italian Foreign Service in 1969, has served in important Diplomatic position in several Countries. H.E. has served as Italian Ambassador to Iran for 5 years. His Excellency arrived in Delhi on 16 August 2008 to assume his function as Ambassador of Italy to India. H.E. has also been visiting Professor in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at University of Pisa. H.E. has also written books on Human Rights policy and Challenges of Ethics in International Relations. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ashok Kumar, Additional Secretary, Min. of External Affairs and Acting Director General, Indian Council of World Affairs, Dr. Jagjit Singh, Founder & Executive President of IMM welcomed H.E. Mr. Roberto Tascano, Mr. Ashok Kumar, delegates, students Alumni, and introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering.

INTERNATIONAL GUEST LECTURE BY MR. MICHEAL ASHFIELD

A lecture was organized on March 19,2009 for IInd Semester Group - I and II students by International Visiting Faculty Mr. Michael Ashfield from UK on the topic "The European Market: Why and How to Enter". Mr. Ashfield stressed on the need of diversifying the export market by the Indian Manufacturers to UK which offers better prices for the products. Deeper thrust in International trade provides benefit of economy of scale and improvement in their quality by adopting International standards. This also enables a company to improve the product quality for Indian Market and transform itself by emulating World Standard practices. Lala Shri Ram of DCM group and Tatas were more smarter among Indian Business houses, who diversified their Marketing to UK long ago.

MEETING OF THE BELGIUM DELEGATION ON MARCH 16, 2009 AT IMM

A good size delegation from Chamber of Commerce of West- Flanders, Belgium visited IMM on March 16,2009. They included Business Heads from different Corporates. The Delegation was headed by Mr. Paul Breyne, Governor of the Province of West- Flanders. In honour of the delegation, H.E. Mr. Jean M. Deboutte, Ambassador of Belgium to India and Mr. Mathias Bogaert, Economic Counsellor from the Embassy of Belgium in India also joined the Meeting.

Institute of Marketing and Management, New Delhi, presented by the Public Relations Council of India at a grand Award Ceremony on Friday, April 3, 2009 in Bangalore, in the presence of leading Kannada Film Producer P. Raj Kumar, ING Vysya Bank CEO and MD Vaughn Richtor and Shell Technology India head Ad de Visscher.
